Introduction

Stories are an essential constituent of any child and their childhood. At different stage of ones childhood one should listen to different kinds of stories as this will help in their development. As one grows older they can be provided with stories with morale. Preschool stories should be told and read to the preschoolers to activate their imagination. Imagination helps to motivate the creativity of a child. Stories can be read out to them which have important implications and teaches lessons of life.

Preschool stories help a child’s growth and development. It helps them in becoming a reader. A child tends to stare at the book and look at the pictures. Your child would try to memorize the lines you have read them out. The children become familiar with words and they can associate the words and pictures and pronunciations. The children should be read aloud many different preschool stories so that their vocabulary can increase. They can learn new concepts and things which helps a preschooler. As part of the preschool learning, reading sessions should be included.

You should know when and how to read the stories to your kid. Before bed or in the morning after breakfast works well with the children when it comes to reading sessions. Preschool education should include different types of activities one of which should be reading. The stories for preschool children should have words which are repeated quite often. Encourage your child to read and as he attempts to do so appreciate his/her efforts. Different types of books like non-fiction which talk about a single topic and which has great pictorial illustrations. Anything with pictures would later on attract your child’s attention and they would attempt to read which you should encourage.

There are many preschool stories which a child would be interested to read, some of them are as follows: The Lazy Loppin Goat, The Rooster that Wouldn't Crow, The Wasp and the Canary, Little Red Hen, and The Adventures of Old Mr. Toad. These are some of the popular stories which you can read to your children, but there are many others so take a pick from the nearest library or shop. By reading out stories you can ensure children learn the language without any problem. Children at this stage imitate a lot so you can also take out a book and show him/her that how much you are enjoying the book so that they can join you.
