Introduction

Preschool homework can be an idea which has various opinions regarding it. As some parents agree to the concept of homework at the preschool stage and some do not. This type of homework in a preschool curriculum can include writing pages of alphabets and words and numbers. Although many parents consider homework at this stage to be a burden some think otherwise. Revision and practice will make them perfect and the parents would also learn that their children have spent an enriching day at the preschool. But it would be best if there was no homework and parents just to make learning fun can ask the things they have learnt during the day at the preschool.

As a parent or a teacher you can buy preschool worksheets and preschool workbooks in which they can work. This would leave the child to work independently. Preschool homework should include many preschool activities which help in the children’s development. Some children who are not as quick as the others are sometimes given preschool homework. Preschool is a place where a child learns and explores and absorbs new ideas. Even if the concept of preschool homework exists in preschool education then there should be specific ones which benefit them. Unnecessary work can burden the children so keep it as simple as possible for these young ones.

Preschool reading should be included in every day’s work. You an ask parents to ask their child to identify shapes and count the numbers of objects present in the room. Ask to match orders by what are the activities they perform throughout their day. Parents should encourage the children to engage themselves in games and fun activities. Playing with colors and drawing objects can also help the child’s development and skills. You can couple the homework with other activities so that it gives meaning to the child’s homework. You should constantly converse with your children and be close by the preschoolers so that they know help is needed whenever required. To get your child to do homework you only need to bring out your bag of tricks and make the preschool a stress fee affair for them.
