Preschool sports activities

Preschool activities are an essential part of Preschool curriculum. A child to have an all round development should be involved in different kinds of activities. Preschool education builds the groundwork for future educational career. Reading, writing, learning activities should be included in the curriculum along with Preschool sports activities. Different types of activities should be there in preschool education as they can have mental as well as physical development. Sitting in one place and learning to read write would become monotonous for a three or four year old. Hence let your child enjoy and learn through different types of activities.

Select a particular day when you will have Preschool sports activities and on that day you can make the classroom into a sports paradise. Provide the preschoolers with different types of sports equipment and balls. But take note of the fact so that all the equipments are of plastic. You can take picture of them while involved in sports activities and put it on the board or wall to encourage them in different types of sports activities. This way a child can fight against obesity too. You can pick a mascot and decorate the class with a mascot on the wall. Arrange different types of energy drinks and food for the snack time. Some Preschool sports activities have been listed over here they are as follows:

Indoor Tennis: A child has to be provided with small stuffed fabric balls and splatter screen. And the child can hit on these wire mesh covers which are lightweight and very easy for a toddler to handle.

Hoop Catch: A child would have to first get hold of a hoop and a ball. Then two people have to hold that hoop and two people have to stand opposite the hoop. If someone drops a ball or cannot get it through the hoop then he/she would be out of the game.

Ball and Chalk: Yes that is what you are going to need when you have an activity like this. Draw some shapes and write some points on them so that the child can take turns and throw the ball on the shapes. The smaller shapes should have higher points.

Bowling: Get some plastic bottles and a tennis ball preferably plastic one. Then let your preschooler hit the “pins” or bottles and the child will score according to the number of bottles hit.
